For instance, the Employment and Social Affairs Council will, next week, be discussing the Commission Communication of the Future of Social Protection and the preparations for the 5th Community Action Programme of Equal Opportunities for Women and Men. In the November Council meeting the Ministers of social affairs will be dealing with the proposed fundamental review of Regulation 1408 on the co-ordination of social security.

Minister Perho will appear, together with the Minister of Labour, Ms Sinikka Mönkäre, before the Committee on Thursday 14 October at 9.00 - 11.00 o´clock Brussels time.
